A veneer is a porcelain laminate which covers the surface of a tooth and can be used to improve the colour, shape and position of a single tooth or several of them together, so improving the overall appearance of a smile. Less tooth preparation is generally needed than for conventional crowns and the veneer is held in place securely with a strong bonding material.
