Dental implants can be used to replace missing teeth. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed in the jaw to restore spaces in the mouth where teeth have been lost. Once the implant has become fixed in the jaw, it can be used to support crown or bridge work to complete the restoration of the spaces in the mouth.
Using implant we can replace single or several missing teeth. Implants can also be used to help anchor dentures more securely for increased comfort and greater confidence in eating, speaking and smiling. We have been placing implants in the practice since 1992 and since that time have completed many successful cases. We are developing an extensive photographic portfolio of the many cases we have completed and find that these can be very reassuring for patients contemplating this type of treatment. They can help illustrate the options available for treatment and so facilitate the treatment planning process. Both John and Mark have postgraduate qualifications in Implant Dentistry, which is unique to the Fareham / Portsmouth area. Our referral service offers both training and referral facilities to other dentists in the area. |
